LAMDA Exams: Unlocking Confidence & Communication
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) was founded in 1861 and is one of the UK’s most prestigious and long-standing drama schools. Globally recognised, LAMDA has been offering speech and drama examinations since the 1880s.
LAMDA’s mission is to enhance communication skills through the spoken word, nurture a love for literature, and support creative, intellectual, and social development. While it is renowned for training actors, it also operates as a leading examination board, offering structured qualifications in Speech, Drama, and Performance.

Accredited Qualifications & UCAS Points: LAMDA exams are officially recognized and accredited, with higher grades (6, 7, and 8) earning UCAS points, which can support university and college applications.
Confidence & Personal Growth: Students often experience a significant boost in confidence, communication, and performance skills. One-to-one coaching allows for tailored guidance, helping students refine their abilities, take creative risks, and develop a strong presence.
Enhanced Communication Skills: Like traditional elocution lessons, LAMDA training helps students improve diction, pronunciation, and clarity, making them more effective communicators in any setting.
Performing Arts & Career Advantages: For those considering a career in acting or performance, LAMDA qualifications enhance CVs, provide audition-ready monologues, and develop essential skills for the industry.
Academic & School Benefits: Many students see improvements in literacy, speaking, and listening skills, which positively impact schoolwork and academic achievements.
Real-World Applications: Strong communication skills are valuable for interviews, public speaking, presentations, and professional networking. Even beyond the stage, LAMDA training prepares students for future careers in various fields.
Supporting Speech Development: These lessons can also complement speech therapy, helping children improve articulation and verbal confidence in a supportive, structured environment.
Endless Opportunities: From building confidence to achieving recognized qualifications, LAMDA exams open doors for students in education, performance, and beyond.
